VIBRATION MONITORING ECL can develop monitoring and assessment
projects to measure vibrations, whether be caused by road or rail traffic or
some fixed source. Measurements can be compared to published standards or
scientific literature to assess the potential for damage to structures or
people, or just simply nuisance values. ECL will typically deploy a small seismometer at multiple locations over a period of time to get an understanding of the spatial and temporal variations of vibrations. These measurements will be correlated with logs kept by affected individuals, video records or on-site observations by ECL. The study results are then used to assess the potential for damage to structures or the affects on people using published data.
